November 18, 2009 -- Texas Stadium Skybox at DFW named Food and Beverage Concessionaire of the Year!

For a second year in a row DFW Concessions department honored Texas Stadium
Skybox located in Terminal C as the Food and Beverage Concessionaire of the Year. Jeffrey P. Fegan, CEO of DFW Airport presented the trophy and check and thanked the
concessionaires by saying, "You treat our customers with courtesy and respect.
You guys do a great job for the airport." The presentation was held
at the DFW Rental Car Center. Gilbert Aranza, CEO of Star Concessions, and his
staff, were present to accept the Food and Beverage Concessionaire of the Year
trophy and check. Texas Stadium Skybox is located in Terminal C near gate 24.
"What is the secret of success? Hire the right people," said Adam King,
General Manager of Star Concessions. He continued, "We have a low
turn-over. We have great people. You have to hire the right people
to begin with – great service, great people."
An independent company based in Houston company sends "mystery shoppers" into
the restaurants and stores at DFW each month. Posing as passengers these
"mystery shoppers" judge the employees and the store itself on a long list of
criteria including store appearance, customer service and the overall shopping
experience. Of course, the employees have no knowledge about the
"mystery shopper". The
award is based on the results of these "mystery shop" reports and the winner is determined by averaging "mystery shoppers" scores and the highest-scoring
store in each category is then selected as Concessionaire of the Year for that
category.
The honor of
Concessionaire of the Year came with an impressive trophy and a check for
$5,000. Pictured are Gilbert Aranza (left) CEO of Star Concessions,
