September 28, 2006 -- DFW International Airport D/M/WBE Excellence In Diversity Awards -- "A Commitment to Diversity" At the second annual D/M/WBE Excellence in Diversity Awards reception, DFW International Airport honored Gilbert Aranza, CEO of Star Concessions, with the "Excellence in Business Development (Individual)" Award. The Excellence in Business Development (Individual) Award recognizes a D/M/WBE who has grown in capacity based on year-over-year revenue per square feet; or a D/M/WBE who may have started in a partnership and now competes as a Prime and has grown in capacity based on year-over-year revenue per square feet. Star Concessions also received nominations for the "CEO Award" and the "Excellence in Business Development (Partnership) Award". The "D/M/WBE Excellence in Diversity Awards" reception, which was held at the Grand Hyatt DFW Hotel, celebrates and recognizes the tremendous efforts and talents of the many outstanding disadvantaged, minority and women-owned businesses, as well as majority-owned businesses, who participate in the DFW Concessions program.
